Our current School Board (Oct. 2009) has selected the new Superintendent for our School District.  He is Dr. Alan Lonoconus who has spent his career in education in Pennsylvania. 

He is currently the Superintendent of the Shikellamy School District, which is north of Harrisburg.  He has been the Superintendent of that District for 3 years.  Prior to that, he was the Superintendent of the Southern Columbia Area School District for 3 years.  He spent over 20 years in that School District, beginning as a teacher and working his way up to the Superintendent position.

We wish Dr. Lonoconus the best as he begins his work in Great Valley with the new School Board that will be in place before the end of this calendar year.
